Basic Teachings

The Bible
We affirm that the Bible is the infallible and inspired Word of God, the final and ultimate authority. The source of all doctrine, instruction, correction and reproof. It contains all that is needed for guidance in godliness, even for our practical life, but most of all the blueprint for our eternal salvation.
The Bible teaches that salvation comes by the grace of God. It also instructs us as to the proper response to God’s grace and how it is applied to our life. The plan of salvation is best summarized in Acts 2:38. That is: repentance, water baptism by immersion in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and the infilling of the Holy Ghost. Jesus said in John 3:3-5 Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
The name Jesus simply means “Jehovah-Savior.” There is only One Lord and One God, and His name is Jesus. He has revealed himself as the Father in creation, manifested as the Son of God for our redemption, and now he is in us as the indwelling Holy Spirit. Jesus is a true human being born of a virgin, thus made him qualified to be the only redeemer; But He is not just a mere man, He is the God manifested in flesh, who by His grace, was made in the likeness of man to ransom us from our sins.
“Repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations. Lk 24:47. Repent has been used by the military in olden days to signify a 180 degree turn. It’s a decision to turn from actions that lead to death. Inward change of mind outward change of direction. Repentance also symbolizes a surrender of our self rule and dying to sin and self. “if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” 1 John 1:9.
“He that believeth and in baptized shall be saved” Mark 16:16. the new testament was originally written in Greek. The word “baptize” is translated from the Greek word “baptizo,” meaning, “to dip or immerse.” It imply a “placing into.” Baptism symbolizes a burial of the old man, repentance relates to His death. Romans 6:4 says that “we are buried with Him in baptism.” We must be baptize in the name Jesus, Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Baptism throughout the book of acts has always been done in the name of Jesus. Acts 2;38, 8:14-19, 10:44-48, 19:1-6
Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his and except a man be born of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. The Holy Ghost or the Holy Spirit is a promise to every tribe, nation and tongue. The birth of the church marks the last days and the fulfillment of the infilling of the Holy Ghost, accompanied by the evidence of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance. The Holy Ghost baptism is available to receive and experience by anyone who believes on Jesus Christ.
